“My sister Nisha and I are completely different but the one thing we have in common is makeup. Since I was a little girl I would watch my sister Nisha apply makeup on her face, she did it so gracefully she did everything so perfectly she didn’t make it look like a hassle she enjoyed doing her makeup every day. When I turned 15 she showed me how to apply makeup and what products to buy, she taught me everything from how to do my eyebrows, color matching, and blend, blend, blend.”- Shany Monroy founder

We didn’t know where to start with the business, all we knew is that we wanted to be different than any other Latina-Owned Business. Right when Covid-19 hit, the industry thought it was a terrible time to launch lipsticks because we were forced to wear masks, but not my sister and me, we decided to start by creating two cruelty-free matte liquid lipsticks that "don't stain your mask". We chose to start with 2 products because we are 2 sisters with 2 different preferences, we know not everyone loves light nudes and not everyone is going to love dark nudes.
